Small Muse UK tour starts 27th May. Biggest venue Milton Keynes. Might be dates added.

They will probably do a few summer festivals as well.

Thought the 4 rather than usual 3 year album gap was due to Covid.

However Matt said he involved Dom more in the decision making this time & Dom takes a long time to make decisions.

Not even coming here, at least so far. There's a 2-week break between Philly and Phoenix, though.

Did you like 'Will of the People'?

Will of The People is not good IMHO.

Record is a mess and whilst it has some good to very good moments it just does not mesh for me and it has a lot of really cringey moments

Think it's their most consistant album.

Unlike Zooropa which had a few duds in it's 10 songs, each of these 10 songs I like. Which is to be expected as Will of the People was a longer wait.

Would call it variety rather than a mess. It is a greatest hits album. Similar to 'The 2nd Law', a collection of songs & no theme. Rock, ballards, slow songs, fun songs, OTT songs & no Muse album is complete without some U2 & Queen.

Not for me, sorry.

I just find it deeply uneven and as i say at times is a cringefest.

Surely you are not suggesting this is a cringefest.

Catchy as hell with a 20 second guitar solo prior to an organ & Vincent Price esq voice ending. Only Muse.

Will get played at a few parties on the 31st October although despite it's upbeat vibe I believe the song is about domestic abuse during lockdown.

Like it, don't really love it. It has the opposite of the problem that Simulation Theory had; for me, ST had only one standout song - Something Human - but it was its own amazing sonic world when listening to it from beginning to end. WOTP's the reverse - individually, the songs are strong, but they don't hang together at all.

Agree ST is the sort of album once I put on, I can listen to all the way through. Quite addictive & no skippers.

Ditto WOTP although it is more varied. Nothing wrong with a ballard or slowie after a rock song or a fun song in the album's middle. Listeners will get used to the track listing. The main thing is whether each song is good.

The benefit of Youtube is I can dip into each album & listen to a percific song.  Dependant on mood.

I’m seeing The Who in a few weeks.  Looking forward to that, even though they are dinosaurs.
