Here's my list that we watch pretty religiously every season in order of preference.

1. A Charlie Brown Christmas (TV 1965)
2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (TV Movie 1964)
3. A Claymation Christmas Celebration (1987)
4. How the Grinch stole Christmas 1966
5. A Christmas Story (1983)
6. A Christmas Carol (TV Movie 1999)

What are yours?

As long as It's A Wonderful Life isn't on my tv, I'll watch all of the above!

Hey, Acrobat62, I know you'll appreciate this. This morning, I was driving my car, pushing buttons on the radio...the very last button is country...there was a song about "I'll take you for a ride on my big green tractor"!!!!! And, yes, it WAS quite obviously about sex! How funny is THAT?

Is it a veiled reference to the Jolly Green Giant or the Little Green Sprout?   ::)

Shine, my guy LOVES that movie...I can't stand it! It's just the way Jimmy says Mary's name...it turns my stomach. To each his own...

This is one of those, "everyone has seen it" movies that I havn't seen at all except for a few little snippets over the years.

I like Christmas Vacation and Bad Santa. I think those are my favorite Christmas movies.

Trading Places is kind of a Christmas movie, or at least has a Christmas feel to it - and I love that film.

That's an interesting take, xmas shows only to be watched on eve or day of.  My list we pretty much spread out over the season starting on 12/1, but my kids seem to think Scrooge has to be viewed on Xmas Eve, so we'll wait until then for that one.

Anyone have other thoughts about their favorites and when the MUST be viewed?

I forgot about Christmas Vacation and Trading Places, both great movies, but not in my must see holiday lineup.  Now that I've been reminded, will have to dig them out.  Should I open the debate as the weather Die Hard should be considered a Christmas Movie?  There are some that do, I do not.
