Any Marilyn Manson Newport Tickets for Sale?
« on: December 03, 2017, 07:39:44 PM »
I doubt anyone will see this as there are no other posts in this section but I'm giving it a shot anyway! I was just wondering if anyone has a spare ticket to sale (at face value) for Marilyn Manson's gig in Newport this coming Friday? I can't believe I didn't know about the site Twickets until yesterday! I'd just never heard of it, I'd only ever known about the rip-off merchant touting resale sites like GetMeIn, Viagogo, Stubhub, etc. Even if I could afford to pay the outrageous prices they list tickets for on those sites I wouldn't give them a penny on principle, unless they were selling at a more reasonable price and weren't being too greedy! With Twickets though I didn't even realise a legitimate site like that existed, where fans could buy and/or sell unwanted spare gig tickets at face value or less, and not a penny higher! Going back through what they've sold for Manson's Newport gig already (via their Twitter feed) they've had several lots of tickets on there that I totally missed out on. So frustrating!

Anyway, I'll keep looking on Twickets, obviously, just incase by some miracle another ticket for the gig does get listed and I somehow am fast enough to get it, but in the meantime I just wondered if anyone here might have one to sell, please? Probably not but no harm in trying, anyway, lol!

With the face value price of tickets likely for U2's upcoming tour (likely to be a LOT more than 35 I'd say, which is what MM's Newport gig tickets are) I very much doubt I'll be able to go and see U2 (I can't afford those prices and they won't be playing Wales anyway, for sure!) but at least if I could see MM it would be a small consolation! Not that I'm a massive fan of his but I do like a lot of his stuff and he's quite an entertainer live, I'm sure! :)

No, not yet, sadly. I keep checking Twickets but they've only been getting tickets for his London and Wolverhampton gigs, not Newport. I'll keep trying, of course, but trying not to keep my hopes up too much! I was looking on Gumtree and Facebook as well but then decided that I wouldn't be covered if I was sold a fake ticket or if the gig was cancelled, etc, with regards to getting a refund so I'm sticking with Twickets. The likes of GetInMe and Viagogo are pretty useless as the handful of tickets they have left are all up to 8 times face value, although it's possible some prices might drop. Still they can only list them for another day, unless they're e-tickets because they wouldn't be able to post them out in time. It's weird with Viagogo (or was it GetMeIn, forgotten now) - up until today they had quite a few tickets for Newport, all at crazy prices over 100 that I can't afford. I expected to see some of the prices coming down over the next few days but instead, today, almost all those tickets had gone! There was only one pair of tickets left, at over 100 when I checked! What happened to all the others?! Were they all suddenly reduced in price, early morning, and were all grabbed because I had the chance to log in, or did people all decide this morning to buy them at the crazy hiked up prices after all?! Very weird!

Anyway, I'll see what happens. I won't be too distraught if I can't go but it would be nice. I'd really like to be able to go to more gigs and it's not often I get to go to ones practically on my doorstep! :)

Thanks for asking, anyway Btw, an tha - I'm still tapping my fingers and toes here, waiting for a certain review!! ;) :D

I've been on Stereoboard but sadly it only links to GetMeIn, Viagogo and Stubhub which are all selling their tickets at stupid prices of 70 plus feeds up to nearly 200! I'm just looking for face value or less, hence why I'm sticking to Twickets. I can't afford anything else. Even if a Viagogo tout dropped the price by half the charges Viagogo adds on top practically takes it up to what it was selling it for originally, so it's a waste of time. Twickets' only charge 10% of the ticket cost which, seeing as none of their tickets being sold are above face value, isn't very much. It's not looking likely I'll go sadly. Most people don't seem to bother to list on Twickets because it's a "fair" site, they all sell on Viagogo etc, deliberately to make massive profits. Ah well. Anyway, thanks for helping out anyway, I really appreciate it. :)

Lol! Oh I didn't think anyone was posting in this thread! The concert was really good. Poor ole MM was still suffering from his injuries and was in a custom made wheelchair for most of the gig (or standing at the mic with the knee of his bad leg on some kind of crutch/stick thing) so he wasn't exactly moving around a lot but he did his best and there was a good atmosphere. He did a lot of the hits that got everyone going. It wasn't the longest of gigs but I guess it was just good that he was touring at all, considering the state he was in! The tickets were cheap anyway, compared to most gigs, so that made up for it! I've never been a massive MM fan but I have liked a lot of his music over the years and he's such an icon that I just had to go and see him and I wasn't disappointed. I was just glad that someone actually came to play in Newport for a change as hardly any bands/singers ever come to this neck of the woods, so it was good to be able to go and not have to worry about the cost of travel and accommodation! The Newport Centre is a decent enough venue and, back in the 90's, used to get tons of acts playing there, but these days it's only once in a blue moon, sadly. Half the bands I'd like to see live don't even play in Cardiff! Anyway, good on MM for coming here. :)

Btw, FinanceGuy, Coma White is one of my favourite MM songs. :)
