Are there any real U2 and Bono fans left on this site?

It was a cool event.  Some interesting pre-speakers, then a solo singer backed by a Zoom chorus sang U2’s MLK.  A great intro speech was given about Bono, and then Bono gave a solid speech about the Fulbright organization and Ukraine and freedom, and concluded by singing Bob Marley’s Redemption Songs.  It was a nice distraction.

Between his poem and selfies with politicians I'm just irritated by him.

It’s time for him to sit down and stfu.

This speech will probably not go down too well with you Americans but I thought it was a return back to form for Bono, for the most part, to be honest.

Well, there it is.  Never thought I would hear my states name, Vermont, come out of Bono's mouth.  Too bad it was in connection with speaking about our uber lame Senator Leahy.

Overall, it was an entertaining speech, nice to hear he has much more optimism about America than many American's.
