Are we now the most active U2 fan forum on the internet?

@U2 is extinct

Interference post activity has slowed to a trickle. 

Any other places left?

I think U2Start has an active forum.

"Forum" - maybe. Zootopia is still pretty busy.

But that's like saying we had the best selling 8-track in the world last year.

U2 Friends on FB is very active, but it's not a forum.

Forums are dying.

Youngsters are not joining them....its all twitter and other places for them now and those other places are the future.

Of course u2 is not going to really attract too many youngsters anyway!

This place has a very small but quite highly engaged community which is nice....it is what it is, it is highly unlikely it will grow now.

It is quieter here these days, but that is to be expected when nothing is happening with u2 - in fact it says a lot about how engaged our core membership is that we get as much activity here as we do at this time!

As for where is the most active u2 forum...no idea as don't use any of them.

Yeah.  we collected a misfit bunch of Genx millenials who lived the glory days of interference and @u2 in the aughts

zootopia forum seems so warm and fuzzy in content.   Def a different breed there.  I just looked at it

Twitter and Facebook are just glorified forums, except really, really bad.  That's really all they are.  Disembodied, pretend forumicles.  Truly one of the great scams of modern times.

I totally get why Millennials and Z don’t do forums, but Gen X hasn’t exactly died out. We are the forum generation. So I don’t really get why forums overall have basically croaked already, Reddit aside.

What would the heyday of forums be considered?  I'm involved in only two, and I joined them both within the last 6 years.  Guessing they were most popular well before that time.

Yeah as Reddit has grown, it's become a hub for any hobby imaginable. Unfortunately that has made independent forums sort of obsolete, unless you want a smaller community without a voting system. This is the only fan forum that I'm a member of; the centralized nature of Reddit has made it so much easier to keep up with the multiple interests that I have, both music-related and otherwise. At the same time, I really enjoy the smaller size of this community.

Yeah the mp3 leaks of the aughts made the forums essential.

I go back to 1994, when i first got online and of course, made a bee-line for u2 content. I think my first experince was in some Yahoo Groups page. In 2001, i joined Interference.com and i have to say, that back then, especially with the chatroom, it was a lot of fun. Only once, did i have any issue with anyone one there, and this person was a NOTORIOUS asshat.
I think i joined @u2 forum in 2008. After then, my visits to interference.com tailed off. I have to say, I never once had any issues with @u2 either. I tend to avoid problematic areas of forums.
And then, was it 2017 this place started up? This has been my forum of choice since the end of @u2.
