Song wise R&H blows away Boy. Top tier U2 album for studio songs.

R&H is shit.

Boy is not very good, but better.

Boy was a quality debut for the band.  That said, this is still an easy vote for R&H.  I don't seek out U2 for covers, and it's certainly fair to have the opinion of live songs not belonging on a studio album.  Nevertheless, I hold a high opinion with regards to the majority of R&H's studio tracks.

R&H is a mess, but there's more on it that I go back to, so it gets my vote.

Back in 1992, Boy was my favorite U2 album!

Didn't realize this race would be that competitive.

That's about where I'm at, too.

It's a weird mish-mash of ideas, but there are some stand out studio tracks.

Boy was a fun start from a group of teens, but it took them a few albums to really start putting it together.

As a cohesive album - Boy

R+H has some better songs on it tho.

A studio-only R+H would be better than Boy.

R&H because of the following songs;

all i want is you
desire
heartland
hawkmoon
van diemens land
angel of harlem

its not even close for me, i probably have underrated R&H in the past

Same here. It’s time we got rid of the average live tracks and focus on the studio songs. Most of them are very, very good. Among the best they’ve done.

R&H was the first U2 cassette I ever listened to when I became a fan in 1989. The movie blew my mind.  When I listened to Boy it resonated more with me because I was just a teenager. Nowadays I return more to R&H. However, on my ranking Boy is higher.

If songs of this quality (above) were released today we'd be losing our collective minds
