I really enjoyed the 2 (?) Metallica Docus i have seen. At least, i think there are 2, which chart the making of two of their albums. Some Kind Of Monster is deffo one, for sure.
From the Sky Down is really enjoybale too. And then there are the Classic Album series, which go into how some great albums came to be.
Im not so sure i have seen many more Music Docus than that though, which is strange for a guy who loves Music and loves Documentaries. Surely i have seen more????

I don't know if you've ever heard of the band Fishbone, but there's a documentary about them that's equally heartbreaking and hilarious. It's called "Everyday Sunshine: the Story of Fishbone" and I highly recommend it.

Still the best documentary of the Rolling Stones.

The Rolling Stones 25x5 - The Continuing Adventures of The Rolling Stones - 1989.

I recommend Echo in the Canyon.  It's about the music that came out of Laurel Canyon in the 60s.
I feel my luck could change.

The Eagles on is the best I’ve seen, and I’m not much of an Eagles fan

There is a documentary coming onto Sky Documentaries Channel, about women who were abused by famous musicians (maybe other famous people too) but i got the feeling it was about Groupies back in the day. Looks interesting

Not a Metallica fan (or hard rock / metal in general) but i did watch teh extended version of Some Kind of Monster.  A friend of mine who is a huge fan, absolutely hated it.  Said it took the band down a few notches for him.  Not because it was necessarily a bad film, but he just hated seeing his idols sit around talking about their feelings in therapy.
