In the Name of the Father

I thought it might be interesting to post this.

In the Name of the Father is a film about the Guildford Four and Maguire Seven, innocent Irish people imprisoned for a terrorist act they didn't commit, fucked over by the british, as the Irish have been, since the famine.

The relevance to U2 being both Gavin Friday (U2's creative director and former Virgin Prune) and bono both contributed to the soundtrack.

The bono song is here:

The Sinead O'Conner song is also superb:

Watch the film. If it doesn't make you angry and sad you are missing a soul.

Yeah, great film and amazing tune. I have an industrial version of ITNOTF that is really dope. I prefer it to the original.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.

I originally found it on one of those "Bono Solo Projects" CDs from back in the '90s. I have always loved this version.

I’d like to thank the OP too for posting something that wasn’t yet another boring conversation about ranking u2 albums.

Bravo. Now, please go to the trivia thread and ask a question, you’re up.

You have a deep enough knowledge of U2 to come up with a great one, I am sure.
