I know - I know - U2 unplugged sounds about as exciting as watching paint dry. BUT

Let's make a KICK-ASS U2 unplugged nevertheless. Dig through the archives, figure out ten songs that would rock the world of a non-u2 audience. Without electricity.

Not sure I could handle Bono being Elton John for 10 songs. Every Breaking Wave was bad enough.

Although enjoyed 'Songs of Acoustic'.

Mofo
Discotheque
Lemon
Slug
Miami
Get on Your Boots
You're the Best Thing About Me
Where the Streets Have No Name
Bullet the Blue Sky

Ok, a couple of these could actually turn out pretty cool.

not sure about some of the choices you have, but i think you've got the right idea.  Everyone else has picked songs that could obviously be done acoustically, but you've got some selections that the band would have to get innovative to find a way to play differently.

Yup. I've tried a few of them, actually. I could not really do them justice but there's potential : MOFO, Discothèque, Lemon, Bullet...

Slug is a great idea.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...
