The best of SOE is way better than the best of SOI:

The only tune to match those on SOI is SLABT. The rest of it is a plodding violation against music. They even managed to balls up the troubles by making it utterly one dimensional. Then there's that cover. And the release method. And those tax 'affairs'...

SOE isn't a particularly great or even noteworthy album, but it's not awful and has some good songs.

I like U2's albums so I might be a bit biased...but I'll take SOE.
