Hello
« on: February 09, 2021, 10:20:05 AM »
Hi everyone,
I just joined. Very happy to be here.
I started listening to U2 in 1989 at the age of 13. This gave me enough time to absorb the 80s material and become a real fan, looking forward for AB. The change in their sound came to me naturally, in fact it was not really perceived as a change by me.
In a way I am a 90s U2 fan. Thanks to U2 I started listening to electronic music and bands like Orbital, Chemical Brothers, Portishead and Stereolab.
I saw them live for the first time during the POP tour in 1997, a golden year for me being a young poet, a student, travelling the world and feeling like Jack Kerouac.
My top five U2 albums are AB, TJT, POP, NLOTH, SOE.
Other favorite musicians / bands I listen often today: Goldfrapp, Tindersticks, Leonard Cohen, The Verve, Muse.
Looking forward to interesting discussions!
