About time she had her own thread.

I know there are fans here, and I know Punisher is highly rated....

I discovered her last year.
Very consistent so far but I need to spend more time listening to her.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

She's fantastic, and Punisher is a hell of an album.  I didn't really get her debut album when I heard it for the first time.  What got me interested in her is a couple of side projects she did, boygenius (her, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker) and Better Oblivion Community Center (her and Conor Oberst).  Here's one from each:

boygenius - Me and My Dog:

Better Oblivion Community Center - Dylan Thomas:

I had no idea she was a part of those bands. I'll need to check those out once I'm better acquainted with her first album.

That's a great performance of I Know the End... guitars are also a lot sturdier than I thought. I think she's done enough renditions of Kyoto over the months at this point, but that's a good one too!

Here's Phoebe covering a song by Gillian Welch, one of my favorite artists of all time, with another great artist, Courtney Barnett.

I will try and check her music out over the next few days. I have heard lots about her. Im trying to be more open minded about modern Mainstream artists. I like lots of modern Indie music, but i havent really been in touch with Chart acts since the late 90s.....due to believing that Chart music was at an all time low.
