Letís hear it for the often overlooked 2nd album.

TBH, Iím probably the first offender in not paying much attention to it.   :-[

My love for With a shout and Rejoice has really grown lately.
Tomorrow remains a classic, in the drowning man league.
Gloria is one of the few tunes I wish Iíd seen live.
Stranger in a strange land has a weird melody that I really like.
And I fall down has always been a personal favorite.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

One of the few U2 albums I can listen to all the way through.

Not that there are loads of classics. But perfectly good songs & no duds I have to skip. The album flows perfectly.

I think October might just be my favorite U2 album. For a long time it was Zooropa but in the past few months I realized I enjoyed a few other albums a little more than Zooropa (still a fantastic album though). So it's either TUF or October for me. I know October is probably objectively weaker than most other U2 albums, and I'm not even a religious guy, but man I just love this album so much. Maybe because it's just a little more raw than Boy or War? I'm not great at articulating exactly why I like certain music, but pretty much every track is a 9 or 10 for me.

Not on top of my list but I appreciate the innocent spirituality and the raw energy.

I think October is a better album than boy or war. It has a certain melancholy - even feminine - quality to it whereas boy and war are more masculine. The production on October is nicer, too. War makes my ears hurt.

I dont play October album often. But when i do, i really enjoy it. It is the only album in the history of music, which has its very own listening day, in my home.
I have often commented about how the album evokes such great memories, any time i listen to it. More so than ANY other album, by anyone

Tomorrow, Gloria and October are very tasty indeed.
