You got to do what you should.
One life; With each other
Sisters, Brothers
One life; But we're not the same

I saw them in Amsterdam last year they were OK ... My work colleague is a super fan so I went with him.

I really like 'Nothing But Love', 'Sometimes' and 'Getting Away With It (All Messed Up).

I've actually started to think that I'm just an a fan of Brian Eno. My favourite U2 stuff is Eno based.

Being 100% honest, i find that with James, and the same with u2, their very best material, was all done prior to year 2000-01. Since then, there has been a definite dip in quality of creativity

I am with you on this - my favourite U2 and James stuff is the Eno produced material.

Also agree with Smee the best U2 material is what they recorded pre-2001 (not that I dislike what has come since then).

I saw them in 94 on the Laid tour in a small 1000 person club in the Midwest. Got right up front for the show and met Tim Booth afterwards at the tour bus. He was very nice, and I still think it is one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Very nice indeed! Laid is a stupendous album! I had the chance to go see James perform a gig, with only about 120 there...but i turned down to offer. Silly me!

I've probably seen James more than I've seen any other band over the years, they're a very good live act.
Wah Wah is a great album despite it being a number of one take recordings from the Laid sessions (with Eno).
Avalanche is one of my favourite tracks by them, and the Whiplash tour my favourite concert.

Strangely enough, that is the one album i never got round to buying. I heard about 4-5 of the tracks and it left me feeling unmoved, so i didnt bother buying the album. I just seem to have no interest or curiousity about it.

I love them at least 20 years. Seven, Millioners and Pleased To Meet You are my favorites. After the two great ep-s and La Petite Mort, their most recent record a bit of dissapointment.

I finally got the latest James album. It's really great. They definitely have their own style.

Also, I bought the LP with a signed litograph from their website. Looks really cool.

A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...
