Scored it a nine. I just love the side to u2, which makes songs like Cedars, 4th July, The Ocean and such like.
In the garden I was playing the tart
I kissed your lips and broke your heart
You
You were acting like it was the end of the world

A perfect ten.

Hands down the best thing they've done since Pop.  In fact it's better than anything on Pop.

3  My least favorite song on the album.  I've never been able to get into it.
I feel my luck could change.

I’ve seen for myself, there’s no end to grief, that’s how I know, and why I need to know that there is no end to love

Like MOS, overrated AF

But still better than the middle 3, most of ATYCLB, all of HTDAAB, all of SOE

Here's a question I've been meaning to post, just could never figure out how to make it a clear ask.  Which of you least favorite U2 tunes is still better then anything on SOI or SOE?

10. Plus some. Would sound, and fit perfectly on Pop.

U2's best song since the 90's.
What are we going to do now it's all been said.
No new ideas in the house and every book has been read.

Someday I'll let my inner OCD loose, rank every U2 song as to how much I like it on that day and I'll let you know.

Of course then the next day it may change.

Perhaps I should brush up on jquery and develop an Ajax interface that allows easy head-to-head matchups of every song. Just taking the album songs, that's roughly 140 songs and over 5,000 head to head matchups, generating a definitive ranking of the full catalog.

THEN we'd know where we stood.

My bad. I checked the sigma on that and it would be 9,870 for 140 songs, a lot more than my guesstimate of "over 5,000."

If you spend an average of 5 seconds considering, answering, and loading the next matchup, it will take over 13 hours to get through the matchup.

But a good programmer would be able to cut that. A song consistently rated at the top would not need to be matched to a song consistently rated at the bottom. So you'd want to set some sort of score deviance that would preclude a direct matchup. Hmm.
