A little Zooropa vibe on my bike trip
« on: August 14, 2020, 10:47:05 AM »

Spending a few weeks in the French alps.
I climbed col Agnel this morning, the summit being the French - Italian border.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...

Soloyan, my friend, you have all my admiration climbing those cols. I couldn’t do it, simply don’t have the legs. Plus, where I spend all my summer weekends, there’s no such “Elevation”, but it’s often a “Beautiful Day”.  :D

Sorry, man, it was the Italian border I could smell, the clean air of Elevation!

There's farms around here, too, but very small and lovely pasture farms. There's even one where the guy has a pair of Clydesdales to pull his plow, no lie. And another one up the mountain has a pair of oxen.

That's nothing, son.  I've climbed Parbold Hill.

The clean air of Elevation. That would be salvation for the old fart who runs this place.  ;D

Good for you !

With electric bikes you can climb anything you want. My 12 year old climbed l’Izoard with me the other day and didn’t even sweat !

I looked at electric bikes this spring. But decided I would wait for my 60th birthday.  ;)
