U2 Experience + Innocence Live in Berlin

OK, so I was able to locate and download both the video and audio of the full show from Berlin (and I'm not even a fan club member!). I was actually pleasantly surprised enough by the performances that I spent a few days tinkering with the audio files -- I added a fair bit of reverb to minimize the harshness of Bono's voice, but perhaps more importantly, I significantly cut out a lot of Bono's damn jibber-jabber (for my part, I don't mind too much talking when I am watching the video, but a lot of the charm and meaning are lost in audio form, so I left enough in to make it all smooth and understandable while reducing the playing time of the whole show by probably 15 minutes).

The tracks from which I removed some talking are:

Dirty Day
Stay
EBTTRT
Acrobat
YTBTAM
Summer of Love
There is a Light

I never thought I would say something like this, but in this current form, this is a seriously good show. Wild Horses is epic, so are Acrobat and Real Thing. Even the abysmal rendition of Dirty Day is much improved with a significant portion of the talking gone.

Here's a link to download the files, including the cover. Enjoy.

Very good job, you should produce their next live show! This is close to how I watched the show (plus skipping a few songs here and there) and I agree, what you are left with is really solid, and ironically you understand “the narrative” all the same. So for those 15 minutes they could have added in Tomorrow, Drowning Man and Hawkmoon instead of all the talking, all fitting in with the narrative!

Where were you able to locate and download the original if you don't mind my asking?

Edit: nvm found it.  I did some similar editing with the Milan version of Miss Sarajevo, I also edited the "Am I buggin you" speech out of Silver and Gold.

Been listening to this.  I know there was a thread earlier about what to do with the old songs now Bono can't sing them properly.  Listening to this, I don't see what they're on about, he sounds pretty great.

Yeah he for sure has different inflections now, and he cheats his way out of some of the high notes. But when you listen to something like Wild Horses, it works. This version of Gloria is really good as well.

We are thinking of charging £75 for access to this thread and therefore the goods.......the link will only be cleared to work once payment has cleared and there will be a three week wait anyway before it actually works.

We'll also send out at some point (don't know when) a 6x6" photo of Exile...it might be signed, it might not - depends if Exile gets round to it.
