OK, I know most of us (myself included) are not looking forward to another trip down nostalgia lane, but let's take it as a done deal since two band members have publicly as much as stated it.

What is your dream setlist?

My dream setlist is the next album plus some other stuff.

I'm not trying to be an asshole answering your question this way. But:

Wild Horses live sucks. They've never made it work.

UTEOTW rocks but they've played it and played it.

One hasn't sounded good for a while.

We got Acrobat. No complaints.

They are too old for Mysterious Ways.

They are too old for TTTYAATW.

They are too old for The Fly.

Bono's voice is too shot for So Cruel.

So basically I think they could still rock Zoo Station, EBTTRT, and Love is Blindness.

I'd be thrilled to hear those along with the new album.

First, I disagree on TTTYAATW.

Secondly, HOW COULD YOU??? No mention of UV?  :o

All of AB obviously. Go Temple Bar remix acoustic with Wild Horses. And never too old for Trying To Throw Your Arms Around The World -- more champagne cork popping on stage, please! Add a few Zooropa tracks, for a nod to Zoomerang (it'll be 2023 by the time they get around to Australia again anyway). Edge will have to make up the high note vocals though, Bono's voice isn't up to it anymore.
The Edge: “[Eno] would love to see us making albums a bit more like [Zooropa]. Where we go, ‘You know what? We’re not going to second-guess any of this. Let’s just go for it.’”

U2 Fans: We'd all love to see that, Edge.

I didn't mention UV because - look, I love UV obviously. And Sheffield was Holy Shit. If UV can still sound good, bring it on. A little afraid, though.

Nobody has yet taken issue with my pronouncement that they are too old for MW and The Fly.

The Fly? No, they're all good. MW? I'm nervous.

OK here’s my dream:

First, nothing from the 80’s.

Start with AB, in order. That’s 12 songs.

Intermission

Then play a good mix of songs from the rest of the 90’s. Something like 8 from Zooropa and 3 or 4 from the other one.

End show with The Wanderer. And the alarm, of course.

Nothing from the past 20 years.

23-24 songs setlist.

By the time the tour comes round, Beautiful Day, EH-LA-VAY-SHUN and Walk On would all be more than 20 years old!!

3 or 4 from the other one.

You're not a POPmartian I gather :-)

 ;D ;D ;D "3 or 4 from the other one."

All of AB, then the rest can be Zooropa, Passengers, Pop, and maybe a little bit of ATYCLB/2000s and end with some of the new album.

Nothing from 2000 onwards, if you prefer. That’s my point.

I’m a WARrior, btw. And would gladly sacrifice the album for a strictly 90’s tour.

It's a DREAM setlist, right ?

I hope they do the Acrobat acoustic intro seguing into Zoo Station, as rehearsed in Hershey, 1992.
I for one, would love to hear all songs from AB.
I think Wild Horses has never sounded better than live.
I would kill to hear Love is Blindness again.
I'd love to hear Daddy's gonna pay for your crashed car.

BUT AB is far from being what made Zoo TV what it was... how to replace the Bullet / Running / Streets / Pride segment ?

I'll say it again : MOFO, Discothèque (Vertigo version), Please, Wake up dead man et al... would be GREAT for a Zoo TV treatment.
A dangerous idea that almost makes sense...
