Time to give our boys some very long overdue love.

Iíll Go Crazy if I Donít Go Crazy Tonight (Dirty South Full Remix)

Kidding...

My pick is Moment of Surrender, in my view their best song since POP.
First Chair. Last Call.

Super Furry Animals - The Very Best Of Neil Diamond

Bat For Lashes - Daniel

and 3 or 4 contenders from NLOTH.

09...

Honourable mentions for:

Black Hearted Love by John Parish and PJ Harvey as well as Sixteen, Fifteen, Fourteen from the same duo.

Crying Lightning - Arctic Monkeys

Sleep Alone - Bat for Lashes

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Hysteric

Cedars of Lebanon - U2

Jackie Collins Existential Question Time - Manic Street Preachers

Ulysses - Franz Ferdinand

To Lose my Life - White Lies and Farewell to the Fairground by the same band.

Winter Hill - Doves

The artist who interested me most in 09 though was La Roux and from her self titled debut album i can't split In For The Kill and Bulletproof.....

It has to be done though and by a whisker it is IN FOR THE KILL.

In For the Kill - La Roux

Yep. (and you know I'd like to include more than one song from that album, but everyone always laughs at me when I do. So I won't)

I did it for you.

And yes, U2 made great music in 2009, but it seems they didn't realize that, which says a lot...

And, we have a winner! I can't help it...I love that song...the guitars make it worthy or more credit than it gets.
Sue me... ;)

To be fair to u2 NLoTH whilst not personally troubling my own list of the best albums of 09 or that decade, does contain some work that is noteworthy....it is more palatable to me than their other albums of that decade.

There is however a very big world of music out there....

It is a U2 forum over here, after all. So a bit normal they get disproportionate love.

Whatís more concerning is the deranged people citing Coldplay over and over...
