Look out this coming Sunday for what could be quite a rigorous Bono interview. Features on the cover of the Times' Culture supplement.

Cannibalism doesn't work on this forum, no?

You got to do what you should.
One life; With each other
Sisters, Brothers
One life; But we're not the same

Not that waffles, silly.  The ones that taste good with maple syrup smeared all over them.

Run Waffles, run! Unless you're into that kind of thing. /ahem
The Edge: “[Eno] would love to see us making albums a bit more like [Zooropa]. Where we go, ‘You know what? We’re not going to second-guess any of this. Let’s just go for it.’”

U2 Fans: We'd all love to see that, Edge.

Hope this works. Not as long as I'd hoped. It's fair to say the mood of the album could be a lot darker than I anticipated.

Thanks kango, works - good for those who can't access the paper to be able to read the interview from your scans.

Not much given away about the new music, but it helps us reflect on where Bono is politically - his loss of faith in the 'The power of the people is so much stronger than the people in power' mantra, is telling.  But the central theme of the interview is how Bono's brush with mortality has played into his outlook on life and given him a sense of urgency in regard to his family relationships.  Edge is more candid about Bono's health incident than Bono himself is.

Somewhat interesting article without telling you much. Again, the dice with death references without an explanation. If it is a darker album, that is a good sign.

Poor Bono finally growing up lol.  I think he’s too hard on himself, he does a lot of good

Also he is real, we all say or do the wrong thing at times, we make mistakes.

He’s real he put it out there.

Oh dear lord. He’s “quite close” with Lena Dunham? I don’t fault him for not wanting to meet with Trump but I don’t know if I can do the U2 thing anymore. It’s becoming one big cliché of feminist dribble. We should judge people by their character not their gender. It seems cheap attempt to gain favor with the liberal elite. With recent news, he certainly seems to keep some close friends of questionable character.

Interesting interview. Interesting to hear him reflect, albeit briefly, on his faith as well.
