Adam's Missed Show

Does anyone know if there is any video footage available from the show Adam missed in Sydney? I'd be interested to see how (I think it was his guitar tech that filled in) it went without him. I've tried to search, but can't find anything.

No offense to you personally, but speaking as a recovering alcie, I dont get why people obsess over Adam's one missed gig in 40 plus years.

Because U2 have had to cancel quite a few concerts over the decades due to Bono's various ailments,  and there have been a few concerts that frankly shouldnt have gone ahead because his voice was so fucked.

Fair enough but this was the only U2 concert since 1978 that featured a different lineup, so it's interesting. It's got nothing to do with Adam's alcoholism.

Sheesh, I wasn't obsessing over his missing the show...I really just wanted to see how his tech performed! Sorry to have upset you, FG.

Understandable FG, but I've never heard or seen this gig. We've heard the band collaborate with other artists, with mixed results, so it's interesting. I've always wanted to hear Bono front up a full on rock band like Pearl Jam, for example.

I dont think that would go well.  For Bono.  The full on rock band.  The audience.   Best leave that one alone.

yep.  really bad.  if this is Bono trying to be a 'real rocker' - no thanks.

Eddie makes him look like a complete poseur.

The version I saw, I think it was just two bands who respected each other trying to share a moment. It was pretty funny because it was so off the cuff.

I suspect the one the Cat posted is from one of the charity concerts ... not sure, because it's blocked. And I guess the version I saw is too, now, because I can't find it anywhere.

I agree it's not one of Neil Young's better efforts, but I don't think it was ever meant to be anything but a fun rocker.

Wow, I got the video blocked?! That vid's been up for years, but as soon as I share it, bang. Really disappointing from Pearl Jam's management.
