all things 90's alt-rock
« on: November 15, 2017, 12:48:18 AM »
herein we will discuss various alternative/grunge/industrial bands that had their heyday or just starting out in the 90s. some of my all time favorite groups as most of you know are Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Weezer, Beastie Boys and Radiohead.

what are some of yours?

i thought i'd do a cover-all thread instead of a thread for each band that would be ignored

I enjoy Collective Soul and consider them to be underrated.  They put on a very energetic and high-spirited live performance.

Our Lady Peace.
In their heyday (1994-2000) they were criminally underrated. One of the best bands of the 90’s.

They are amazingly underrated.

The Birdman is a great song.

Yes, yes I'll confess I really liked the Gin Blossoms in the 90s. I still like them and don't apologize for it.

Also Counting Crows. And The Cranberries.

Bush...Sixteen Stone is a good album.

1992-1995 has amazing albums of the genre.  Creative Particles of the grunge explosion.

Before the record companies watered it down.

Sure was weird seeing industrial music hitting the mainstream:
