Time flies, doesn't it? Next year will be the 30th anniversary of U2's last good album.

I am much relieved by knowing that The Edge out of U2 is coping with being confined to one of his mansions. I had been worrying myself sick about The Edge out of U2.

Plus he's directly connected to Bonio, our own living and breathing demi God. Saviour in human form.

Still droning on about the environment after being exposed as a massive hypocrite for trying to destroy 150 acres of  Malibu coastline with his grand plan to create “an elite housing development”  including roads that would wreck the area,  all the while bleating about saving the environment while he’s with U2.

As the LA times said,  “'The Edge is not a man whose guitar gently weeps. No matter how many times he's called a hypocrite, he just keeps bullying foes, determined to have his way."

@John Pearce But difficult to pull off with any decorum if you're an Excitable Boy.

I am sure many of us would welcome the permanent isolation of the wretched U2

I do love it when celebrities bang on about zero carbon emissions while simultaneously thinking nothing of taking planes like they are the number 14 bus!

He must never use central heating though. Surely the reason for the hat ?

You shouldn't take it personally.

I do think they bring a fair bit of it on themselves with their public image and how they come across - i have no doubt that they are decent people....but they do have and have had for a long time a really bad public image problem.

Name me someone in the public eye who doesn't receive scorn. Makes the haters feel big, or something.

Is anyone able to post the full thing?

As to the comments, I just try to judge a person by what I hear from people who've actually worked with or met them rather than the view of ignorant sheep. On that score, U2 come out as top guys.
