Top Ten: All Eras U2
« on: March 24, 2020, 10:37:57 AM »
Let's see if the final top ten matches the top ten 1900s or if any 2000s squeeze in.

Interesting that WOWY didn't make the top ten 1900s on this list.

Six from the '90s, 3 from the '80s, and The Ground beneath Her Feet.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.

I like COL, but I wish I could love it like you do. It comes down to Bono (which is always the case). If he had sung the lyrics more than spoken them I would enjoy it way more since the music is stellar.

It's a Leonard Cohen style song. He sang it perfectly

Moment of Surrender
Magnificent
Fez - Being Born
No Line on the Horizon
Book Of Your Heart

Stunned at the lack of Acrobat or more stuff from Zooropa but oh well. Was a toss up between Bad and Magnificent for me, but in hindsight maybe I should have picked Bad over Book Of Your Heart?

I could easily remove ONE in favor of Fez, MOS, or Red Flag Day

So, this morning I took my tablet outside, and put Pandora on...I used to listen to it quite often, just to hear some of the old stuff. I have a few different "stations" set up. I put it on shuffle. The first, the very first song that came on...Streets. Yeah, U2 already wrote a song for me.

Nice. God's way of telling you everything will be fine.

This morning Mom texted me as she was watching the beautiful sunrise from her back patio, she decided to have another cup of coffee in honor of Dad, who would have been 82 years young today.

Just goes to show they are still with us always and there is beauty in everything even when things seem tough.

OH OH OH I forgot...I saw my first meteorite in quite awhile this morning...and that, to me, is my Dad checking in on me...
Happy Birthday to your Dad...maybe he's having a cup of coffee with mine.
