Personally, I would get there early and go to dead center of the ramp in the middle of the floor, at the rail if possible. Did that for MSG in 2015 and it was great.

This tour, if lucky to get tickets, I might stay back (though still center of the ramp) a bit to the front of the redzone railing in order to take in more of the screen's visuals.

I saw Gloria live. Even if I never see the band live again, at least I saw Gloria live. :)

It depends how close you want to be. I've shown up about an hour before the show and never had much trouble getting a great spot. Showing up as early as possible is mainly for those who want to be right up on the rail. If you don't mind being five or ten yards from the stage you can usually show up when the doors open.

The floor will also shift as the show goes on, so expect to move around and possibly end up closer as people leave early or move around. It's not uncommon for a show to end and for me to wonder how I ended up 20 feet from where I started. ;D

Its hard to see the massive screen right up against the rail. If you do GA, my advice is stand back, middle or even at the railing on the SIDE of the arena floor - dead center of the long screen. Great view.

IF I go, Ill do seats mid arena with a side on view.
What are we going to do now it's all been said.
No new ideas in the house and every book has been read.

Agree with this based on my sister's SOI experience in Denver.
She got there about an hour before show time and was still able to be four people back from  middle of the rail allowing great access to both screen and the band.

And I third this recommendation.  I was in Redzone for ie in Vancouver, and at first I was pretty bummed that the Redzone was on the outer edge of GA and no option for rail, but then that wound up being perfect for viewing the screen.  The screen was an absolutely amazing component for that show, and you should position yourself somewhere that you can see it.

Basically if you get any rail, you will absolutely have no vision of the screen. If you stand 4 back from the rail (means no camping or lining up) you will see everything and all you need to do is walk in when the gates open

Arenas are great. Low stages, very small crash barrier area between stage and crowd. In fact the side or back of the GA area is probably only twice as far as the front row in a stadium.

If that makes sense.

Save yourself the line up rubbish, the check ins and the angst. Turn up when doors open and you'll be 3-4 people back and have a view of the screen.

I+e was the one tour where I would say seats worked as well. I had brilliant seats for night 1 in Paris after my GA tickets fell through and it was excellent. GA obviously better but compared to the seats v GA argument in a stadium, it's less of an issue.

If in seats though you definitely want to sit on the sides.

Like others have said, it depends on what you want to do. I’ve gotten to venues for bigger bands an hour before showtime or just as doors opened and had a view I was happy with every single time. If the priority is to see the screen and just take things in, then I think you’d be okay there too. Unless you wanted a specific rail spot, there’s really no reason to line up earlier… unless you wanted, say, a place to lean on or that sort of thing. Meeting up with fans is fun too though and can be part of the experience either way you do it.
