Haha, I remember hearing this bootleg for the first time around 1988 and thinking, "Umm, 'SF' doesn't stand for Sinn Fein when you're playing a show in San Francisco, bruh." 

The SF thing was total pricksville.

The shit picture wasn't too bad - guy got hopefully a great selfie out if it, and definitely a story - but he could have been a tad kinder about it.

Thankfully he worked on his personality since that time, because that guy was a total asshole and I hate him.

But jesus could he sing. Sigh.

His singing makes watching that show worthwhile.

Oh FFS cut him some slack, 1987 was peak IRA terrorism. THe Enniskillen Remembrance Day massacre happened a month later. There was an issue with Irish-Americans romanticising the IRA too, the band kept seeing it throughout their US tour. People waving IRA flags at previous concerts if I recall correctly. Considering the tensions at the time in Ireland, good on Bono for ranting. I wish we saw more of THAT Bono today, the angry Bono who didn't take shit from anyone.

Bono destroyed a budding photographer's career, they were too ashamed of their "shit picture" to ever pick up a camera again.
