If Paul McGuiness had still been the boss.....

If Paul McGuiness had still been the boss.....what things do you think might have been different?

Would he have been keen on working with the likes of Ryan Tedder or would he have tried to steer the band away?

Would we have had the Joshua Tree 30 Tours?
In the garden I was playing the tart
I kissed your lips and broke your heart
You
You were acting like it was the end of the world

No Tedder if Paul was still around.

The JT30 tour...not sure, but I'm VERY glad they did this tour.

I doubt Paul would have had any creative influence. So yes, I think Tedder would have still produced.

Paul totally would have had influence on whether they toured TJT30... and yes, I think he would have been completely on board. Ka-ching, plus it was popular and well received.

Agreed on the Apple thing. Also wonder if Paul might have pushed them to release SOI sooner rather than delay for whatever the award they were hoping for with OL

No difference whatsoever. McG was around when U2 signed the Live Nation contract, afterall. Maybe the SoI iTunes release would have been different, but I doubt it.

Yep he didn't understand it, but he was more anti-not-making-money-from-internet-piracy. U2 didn't go into streaming though, they stuck to the traditional formats.

he would be railing at spotify

"Trump supporters are fucking morons"
“Albums still matter,” he said to the crowd of pop star and music luminaries. “Like books and black lives"
