« on: January 30, 2020, 09:41:18 AM »
I'm putting together a playlist of my top 50 Bowie songs, could go up to top 100.  Any recommendations.  Not the obvious ones please.

I adore bowie.....but...as with ALL music acts, i am Lousy at knowing the names of songs. But of the ones i do know of, i enjoy Survive, Lazarus (still hurts to listen to tho) and Moonage daydream. Are they too mainstream for you? I dont know the names of many more, other than the obvious hits.

I have all his album up to the 1987 one.  I'm thinking of investing in the post Tin Machine stuff but I'm listening to individual songs first on YT.

Ooh this will be good. I consider myself a fan albeit more of certain periods like the early hits, the Berlin trilogy and the last two albums. What's obvious is rather relative but should I assume nothing on my 2 disc Best Of Bowie?

If so, primary contenders would be:

I'd Rather Be High
The Stars (Are Out Tonight)
Love Is Lost
Dancing Out In Space
The Hearts Filthy Lesson
I Have Not Been To Oxford Town
No Control

Lazarus
I Can't Give Everything Away
Be My Wife
Move On
V-2 Schneider
As The World Falls Down

Nice list! That list probably contains most of the Bowie songs that i know the names of. The vast majority are unknown to me. I reckon i have about 95% of his studio albums (inc the 2 Tin Machine ones)
