« on: January 25, 2020, 07:15:54 AM »
Which tv shows did you love to watch as a kid? Some of my faves are:

Kids TV:

Inch High Private Eye
Scooby Doo
Ghoober And The Ghost Chasers
Captain Caveman
Wait Till Your Father Gets Home

Grown Ups TV I Loved to Watch:

Starsky And Hutch
Kojack
Petrocelli
Quincy
Streets Of San Fransisco
Rockford Files
Dukes Of Hazard
Canyon
Hart To Heart
Columbo
BJ and The Bear
The Six Million Dollar Man
The Fall Guy

*Notice just how much American TV was watched back in the 70s.
In the garden I was playing the tart
I kissed your lips and broke your heart
You
You were acting like it was the end of the world

Chime in ANYTIME you feel, with some more. I love reading. I HATED Lassie and a show called black beauty (about a horse) way too girly for me. I did love The Monkees TV show and i recall Zorro being shown as part of Saturday Morning Kids TV in the 70s. Wasnt a big fan of zorro tho.

And, of course, me being girlie...I loved Lassie and Black Beauty...and there was another about a horse called My Friend Flicka, and another called Fury! I didn't like Zorro much, but I loved Tonto...I'm part American Indian, so Tonto got my love. I hated the Brady Bunch...just remembered that one...ick.

The Flashing Blade. It was on shown on UK TV during the six week summer holiday in the 70's and I still remember the great theme song!
It was dubbed, the story was about French musketeers fighting the Spanish--but we didn't care.We loved it :)

Family don't end with blood!

Grew up on Bugs Bunny and all the Looney Tunes gang. Learned my English watching that, and also Sesame Street.

When I got a little older, Three’s Company was the hit show for me on anglophone TV.

So basically you speak American English.  Growing up you should have watched Brideshead Revisited.

Sorry, but I speak Canadian English, which sounds exactly the same as American English, but more polite. ;D
