The Edge: “[Eno] would love to see us making albums a bit more like [Zooropa]. Where we go, ‘You know what? We’re not going to second-guess any of this. Let’s just go for it.’”

U2 Fans: We'd all love to see that, Edge.

Do they really merit getting into the Rolling Stone magazine?

The "Hewson" name got them in.

I'm loving Inhaler, but I do agree, they are trying to not trade on Bono's name, but Bono's name is getting them everywhere they've gotten. They have written some great songs, but I'll be the first to admit I'd never have heard of them if they were not related to our bhoys.

It actually mildly irritates me that they are getting ears just because the singer is Bono's offspring.

So many great young bands who can't get attention but attention is thrust on this band just because of that.....you see it even in the small world of forums, people who live in a little bubble that usually has no room in it for new bands are fawning over these.

They aren't even all that IMHO.

I like what I've seen of them, but haven't gone too far out of my way to see more. And, hey, it's not their fault that their lead singer bears the Hewson name.

The song in the link isn't bad.
But of course Bono's kid is the lead singer. I'd take the band a bit more seriously if he were the drummer.

The family influence had helped. Anthony Genn is the guy who fronted The Hours, the first support band on the UK stops on U2:360 tour. As the article states, he's worked with Pulp. Also Elastica. He 'fronted' (in an Adam Clayton kind of way) a Glastonbury gig in the 90's. Remember it live on TV.... I was like "what?!!"

Love the way they formed at school, just like we'll, er.. U2.
One love, One blood, One life;
You got to do what you should.
One life; With each other
Sisters, Brothers
One life; But we're not the same
We get to carry each other, Carry each other
