Must Watch TV Shows?
« on: January 20, 2020, 11:02:05 AM »
Firstly...this is a different thread to Binge Watching tv shows. I know that it is now a modern day part of life for people to watch a whole season/series of shows in a day. I cant manage that. My attention span allows for about 3 hrs viewing MAX, at any given time.

This thread is more about just the tv shows you arent binging on, but just enjoying at the moment.

For now, I am enjoying SAS: Who Dares Wins (a show where contestants get a sample of what it is like to go thro special forces (SAS) training)
Then, it is over to Discovery Channels to watch Undercover Billionaire (a show about a Billionaire, who goes undercover, to try and start a million Dollar business, within 90 days)

Tonight, I will be watching the 3rd episode of The Outsider, on Sky Atlantic.
In the garden I was playing the tart
I kissed your lips and broke your heart
You
You were acting like it was the end of the world

Prodigal Son

Great show!

A new show started last night called, 911 Lone Star with Rob Lowe so I watched it and I think I will continue to.

Other than all the Netflix shows I've been watching, TV shows include:

Supernatural
Emergence
The Conners
This is Us
Walking Dead
Prodigal Son

Who's to say where the wind will take you

I've seen this series before when it was all male.  This season there are female contestants even though not a single woman has ever passed the SAS election process.

Probably why they have female contestants in it this season.  Who's sleeping with whom?  Come on I want all the gossip.

Last year, there were female competitiors for the first time. A lassie from Scotland was one of the two people who passed the course. She was a machine. A real tuff cookie.

It must have seen the season before then.  There's no place for male spaces on TV it seems.  The fact she passed shows its lack of realism because in real life not a single woman has ever passed the SAS selection process.

It is only a small taster of the SAS selections process. Nowhere near as tough as what the actual soldiers go through

Criminal Minds

It used to be one of my favourite shows but I lost interest with season 13 and so I didn't bother watching the last two seasons.  Maybe it was because too many of the cast from the earlier seasons had left the show.  I'm not a completist, so if the show fails to entertain me, it loses me.

I don’t watch regular TV sitcoms or dramas anymore. I find the shows on Netflix, HBO, and Prime much better.

Curb Your Enthusiasm which is one of the funniest shows ever started it’s new season last night. Opening episode was pretty good, with Larry David wearing a MAGA hat so people would stop bothering him.

Finished Jack Ryan on Prime (really good) and Game of Thrones (all time great until the last season) last month.

On cable I watch some of the shows on History Channel. For some reason I find myself watching Forged in Fire, where contestants forge ancient weapons which are than tested, even though I’ve never had any interest in forging. Also have been watching Kings of Pain, where a couple of guys in the name of science let animals like scorpions, piranhas, snakes, etc...sting or bite them and record and compare on a Pain Index. Completely nuts but somewhat entertaining.
