49ers, baby!
I've been a 49ers fan since about '84/85 when American Football was shown here in the UK.Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Dwight Clarke, Ronnie Lott, Steve Young.....what a team they had.I flew out to San Francisco in '91, watched them practice in 116F heat then saw them play at Candlestick Park, though Joe Montana was on the bench
I've been
amazed at the transformation this season--4/12 last year to 3/14 this year.Kyle Shanahan, John Lynch and
fantastic players like George Kittle, Nick Bosa & Emmanuel Sanders make the Niners fun to watch again
Also, having Handsome Jimmy G fit & healthy in his first full season doesn't hurt
How great is that defence?!
A few of the 49ers games this season have gone down to the wire, especially the game against Seattle.Wow, how many Niners fans around the world were shouting "He's short! He's short!" in those last few minutes
Unfortunately, due to time difference, the 49ers/Packers game won't be on TV here in the UK until after 11pm and I'll be in bed--but I won't be sleeping
I'm visiting my U2 penpal in San Francisco in September and we've had a
lot of conversations about the 49ers this year.I don't usually get to see a lot of their games on Sky because of the time difference but, this year, the teams success has been hard to ignore, so Sky have been the 'Niner station' this season.Last year and the year before that it was the Patriots.
Kansas deserve a place in the Superbowl for that win over the Titans! What a comeback.I hope none of the Chiefs fans left early
GO NINERS
