Onto pages
Of cheap
Dublin magazines
You have the grace to hold to hold yourself
While those around you fall.

The moment that turned them into official worldwide stars. A well-earned title for sure.

Are you conflating the Live Aid performance with the one from Dublin '93? Because it was during the latter that Bono snippeted Candle in the Wind. Those are prolly my two favorite performances of Bad ever, BTW.
Listen as Hope and Peace try to rhyme,
Listen over marching bands playing out their time.

The “crawled out of the woodwork/ candle in the wind” snippet is from self aid in 1986 - it’s quite famous in Ireland - it was a concert to aid the unemployed and the Dublin media quite rightly pointed out that it was a fools errand. Bono accused them of carping from the sidelines which was also quite right.

He changed the lyrics to "crawled out of the wordwork of cheap Dublin magazines" for the 1986 Self Aid and 1993 Dublin Zootv concerts. At the 1985 Live Aid performance it was the original lyrics from the Elton John track that he sang.

When does he sing Candle in the Wind at Live Aid?

He sang
Satellite of Love
Ruby Tuesday
Sympathy for the Devil
Walk on the Wild Side

But when was CITW?

Isn't the lyric "crawled" out of the woodwork?

No?
