Adore Mofo playlist
« on: January 08, 2020, 07:56:31 PM »
I have a dream. My dream is a playlist centered around Ava Adore and Mofo.

What else can match the intensity? Or somehow work with those?

I am accepting nominations.

That is a great one two punch!

I like your idea,  but does the entire playlist need this level of intensity?  I think you need some fields of green valleys to go with those peaks  8)

Well, 10 songs in a row on that level probably won't work. I do hope for at least a third PUNCH though. But the remaining songs still need to fit somehow and feel quality. I guess I just don't want the playlist to peter out, it has to hold up to the end somehow, even with slower stuff. Maybe the slower stuff still needs to be heavy somehow (ex: WUDM not that I am actually looking to use that).

Swimming, thanks, will give those a listen tomorrow.

You should look at Bjork’s catalog. Just a thought.

Great to see the suugestions! I will listen to every one of them but it may take me some time. Can't wait.

I recently added a Sleater-Kinney song to my iPod, had not been familiar but they have an interesting, irreverent sound.

MPare, I'm down for Bjork, but do you have a specific song or two to suggest?

For Bjork I'd recommend Army of Me, Alarm Call, Wanderlust, and Big Time Sensuality for starters.

Play Dead. There's an intensity on that song, even if it's downtempo. OMG, that voice.

Big Time Sensuality (Fluke Mix). Amazing beat and groove.

Army of Me would fit too I think.

The Prodigy - good suggestion. It fit right in.

Massive Attack - I got a metal Bjork vibe off this one. I think this is a strong contender.

"I Play Dead" by Bjork and David Arnold is an excellent suggestion.

I also recommend The Sneaker Pimps' stuff.
