Country Producing Best Bands/Acts

From your perspective and tastes, what country has the best music/band/act output.  I'm not talking about the most, but the best.

My top 5 all time favorite bands, in no order are:
U2
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Rush
Genesis

Though I am from the U.S, none of my top five are from here, with 3 from England, so I guess my "vote" would be England.

Van Halen

I was always curious why so many great artists came out of Athens, Georgia.
For me though i think the UK and more specific Manchester has produced the best artists.
