One more tour, one more album. Please.

There will be decades more of albums and Tours.

The average age of the member's of Aerosmith is 70 and they are writing and recording a new album and will be doing a full scale tour for it.

The average age of the Rolling Stones will turn 77 next year and they are actually finishing their first album of new material in 15 years and will also tour for it.

I think the next U2 album will come in November/December 2021, and they will do a 100 date arena tour for it around the world in 2022/2023. I think they will then release two more albums and do two more tours for those respective albums before the new decade of the 20s is finished. They will then push on through the 30s as well.

Ugh.

Let’s have a real U2 single. Not a collaboration like that one. It’s not indicative of anything

Hopefully a POP 25th Anniversary edition - remastered but otherwise untouched in it's original glory,  featuring cool bonus tracks,  remixes,  rare unearthed tracks,  outtakes,  tour DVD(s),  Sarajevo doc,  tour books,  t-shirt, and a pair of the Alain Mikli glasses Bono wore onstage.

On second thought,  i don't really want to wait for the anniversary.  It's likely never to happen anyway but a POPMARTIAN can dream can't he?

No idea.

A lot will depend on whether or not they do or already have done another big money deal with LN or not.

If they do or already have expect the usual cycle to continue for another 10 years maybe, with probably a big money grabber like a farewell tour at some point.

If they don't or haven't signed again then maybe the shackles will be released and we see a looser u2 with smaller tours but more often, surprise releases, stand alone singles, quick turnaround non commercial albums etc.

My gut feeling is more with LN and more of the same though.

My actual advice to them (as worthless as it is but it is my opinion) would be to call it a day.

They'll most definitely tour again....too much money on the table for them to turn it down.

I fear that we'll have to endure another album first though. Yikes!

I kinda wish they went the Bowie or Springsteen path. Write some interesting music and don’t worry about sales or connecting to a teenage audience.

Live I wouldn’t mind if they called it a day. They put on a good show but they’re not what they once were live.

I agree - but they’re always a fundamentally live band and it’s not in their DNA

A cup of tea and a lie down.
The Edge: “[Eno] would love to see us making albums a bit more like [Zooropa]. Where we go, ‘You know what? We’re not going to second-guess any of this. Let’s just go for it.’”

U2 Fans: We'd all love to see that, Edge.
