Watched Non Stop last night. It was kind of OK. Nothing great. Liam Neeson seems to be a bit typecast these days. 6/10

I watched a movie on Prime called "The Exception".  It featured Christopher Plummer as Kaiser Wilhelm in exile.  It was quite good.

Smee, great to see you made your way over here.

Watched Black Mass on Netflix last night. True story of Boston gangster Whitey Bulger. Johnny Depp was pretty good and the movie was decent. Not Goodfellas or Casino quality, but worth watching.

I watched IT yesterday. Solid film, but I don't see myself rewatching it in the future.

The new Pennywise loses his luster quickly and is an underwhelming character. What should be a multi-faceted character is contrarily one-dimensional (there is much more involved in making an antagonist scary than giving them unsettling qualities). You should not become increasingly comfortable with a horror movie as the film progresses, and IT unfortunately fits the bill of that type of horror movie.

Kong: Skull Island.

So many of the reviews I saw back when it was released bordered on ecstatic. It wasn't as good as the reviews made it sound, but it was still pretty damn good, especially the genuinely touching home-movie epilogue with John C. Reilly's character. 8/10, would (and will) watch again.

Yup, an EXTREMELY worthy sequel to a really fantastic movie. Go see it. If you liked the first one, you will love 2049. Its already one of my favorite movies.

The Space Between Us, which was not at all the teen rom-com that the trailer made it look like. There were a few laugh-out-loud funny scenes, but mostly it was somewhere between bittersweet and sad. Extra points earned for the ending being...not happy, but hopeful. 6.8/10,
 might watch again.

I watched The Rolling Stones:Ole Ole Ole. Not sure if it is classed as a movie, but, what the hell. it was enjoyable. 7.5/10
