Not sure if there is an appetite for a permanent rugby thread here, but since the World Cup starts in two weeks, maybe there is an appetite for a temporary thread ...

When it comes to Rugby (Union) i feel the opposite way to football. I love watching the International games the most. Besides, Scotland arent too bad when it comes to Rugby. Much better to watch that our national footie team, thats for sure. But.....World Cup isnt my fave...i just adore the 6 Nations championship

Your country are in for a real drubbing on Sunday  8)

But, meanwhile, back in reality....i reckon it will be a win for Ireland. Im ok with that. If there is one team I dont mind being beaten by, its my Celtic Cousins over in Ireland

our makeshift back line gives Scotland a chance to use the box kick in a way they wouldn’t of henshaw, earls and Kearney were playing

Fair play in beating our bunch of failures!

I’ve never had such a good time ..... we sang the night away with a bunch of crazy Scottish people in a restaurant in Tokyo, I’m so hoarse now that I can’t talk!

Us Scots might be crap at sports...but our fans know how to have a good time and party. If only our national teams were as great as our supporters  :)

I think they pull it together and beat Japan - they were very beatable and they won’t get away with the same one dimensional game twice - Ireland didn’t engage at the breakdown and allowed japan to pass. Scotland will see it coming and will also play their strongest side - unlike Ireland who kept their three top players out for some reason

Are you fucking kidding me? Canceling games? Eliminating Italy? This is absurd! Didn’t they know clycones were a threat and have contingencies? If Scotland gets eliminated because of this it’s a farce!

Smee, sorry to see Scotland go, but at least they went out by losing to a great side rather than by having a match cancelled by inept organizers.
