I'm still amazed, and thrilled, that I got to attend this tour. I mean, it's 30 years old! I was unable to see it back then, for reasons I won't bore you with. Who would ever have thought that I'd get to see it, ever? But I SAW IT! I WAS THERE!

And, to top it off, I got to see Ultraviolet live. OMG.

Well I'll miss it....It was my first time seeing the band live and it was an amazing show! Lost of good memories....plus the band probably wont do this type of tour again....well perhaps with AB...we'll have to see. I'm just glad I finally got to see them.
I love Rock N' Roll...so I booked a room at the heartbreak hotel and there, the music plays on and on.

Yeah I'd say goosebumps! I was pretty Hyped...plus it was cool meeting other fans who had been to different tours over the years and hearing their stories.

Yeah, that's the main reason I started hanging around the "other" forum a few years ago...just to hear the experiences of other fans...all the shows I'd missed, etc.

It was great!!!

Loads of people were sceptical at the beginning of the year, but critics were defied and it was a corker, without being just a heritage anniversary tour.  U2 have gone and done it again - a response to the trend of established acts touring their best albums has been met by U2 and then some.

They just raised the bar higher again (think 360's giant stage).
One love, One blood, One life;
You got to do what you should.
One life; With each other
Sisters, Brothers
One life; But we're not the same
We get to carry each other, Carry each other

This post of mine is likely more suitable for the Confessions thread, but i have to say, im GLAD to see the back of the JT30 tour. I just felt the whole thing had become stale. I think it would have had more impact had it remained a handfull of one off shows. And i speak as a huge fan of the J-tree album!
Not sure im a fan of these Anniversary tours. Anyhoo...normal service has resumed....onwards and upwards.

Smee, I agree with you, at the risk of sounding like a wet blanket this tour did nothing for me.  Felt like they were mailing it in and yes it got very stale.

I saw the Seattle show, was in GA and my wife and I looked at each other halfway through and were like, OK time for another beer run.  Hate to say it but it was one of the worst U2 shows I have seen... not terrible, still fun, glad to have attended, but would never have wanted to see it again.

It became stale because they were reliving the past and you can't do that.
