Please or Please

Hearing the single version of Please transformed my enjoyment of this song massively, so what version of this classic U2 song do you prefer.  Album or Single?

I don't know what it is about the album version.  It just seems unfinished to me and more like a demo of what it became.

Album version, no question. Single version is ok though, just not as good as the original. Live, its was outstanding............an absolutely fantastic song!

Sit back and enjoy your bands finest moment......

I first thought it would be A: album, B: live. I didn't know there was a (big) difference between the album and the single. So I will come back later to this. The live version is very great, especially the EMA rehearsals. That just showcases U2 for me: getting in to the music, trying to give a different touch to the song, checking if everything is OK. Just being the boss of your song.

Album.  One of the great underrated U2 songs.  Maybe my favorite song off Pop.  A transcendent highlight on the Popmart tour.  The single version's amazing, too, but I love the version I came to know first.

The album version is great.

But the single is just better. In fact, it's in my top 3.
