Beck is great. Too bad his performance was horribly mixed and I could barely make out his voice when he performed. This was in San Diego

Sometimes I could barely make out Bono's voice at Twickenham!  Particularly between songs (he might as well have been speaking with a bin on his head!).  The mix wasn't right for night 1 and I was in GA quite close to the b-stage.

BTW - I posted this in another thread in general music news, having not seen this thread, sorry

Beck is one of the best live performers I've ever seen. Love him!

My only experience with Beck was at the Phoenix JT show...it was so loud that my friend and I went out to the concession area and found a hallway in which to hide. It was terribly distorted, ear-busting, very painful. and I like loud...but this was ridiculous. I was really disappointed, because I wanted to see him!

Have you ever seen Black Rebel Motorcycle Club live?  That's intense and dark (literally, the lighting is very subdued).  I've seen people leave because they can't stick it.  It's grit your teeth stuff, brilliant though and worthwhile (if you get to the end of the set).

Beck was standing next to me for a little while at the Minneapolis show. I just happened to look over and there he was! He said hi, was watching the show and then this drunk girl realized it was him and attacked him. He made a run for it. I felt bad about for him and wanted to smack the drunk girl.

Beck is too much of a nice guy.  I'd like to see him get angry with his music.

Hey! I wasn't with you in Minneapolis!  ;)
Shout for joy if you get the chance
