Hi!
This forum is, I think, a temporary substitute for the @U2 forum.

I hope this site isn't temporary. I think some of us felt stifled on @U2. I'd be very happy if this site welcomes well thought out posts, conversations, and friendly debates. If so I'll stay here.

This site is most certainly not temporary - the aim is to build a truly all inclusive community where mature, open, thought provoking discourse and a few laughs are the order of the day.....all taking place in a respectful, civil environment that finds the right balance.

The admin and mod team are currently working out the forum rules and here is a little extract from that work in progress which gives a nice insight into what will hopefully be created here:

"These rules are not long or wordy on purpose - simply because we don't want a focus on rules and moderation and bans etc....we want a focus on good discourse and an enjoyable community - let's all work together in our community to make it a community we can all be proud of and where everyone is welcome and everyone enjoys it."

Cursing is currently allowed and won't get you in trouble. We're going to sit down and decide if things will remain that way, but I do know speaking personally that I found the cursing restrictions a bit excessive on other forums.

Curses seems to be used rather sparsely around here, at least compared to other online communities (Interference, anyone?).
