Any other Zep-heads in here?

Robert Plant once said U2 was the only band that had the right to inherit their mantle. I've been recently rekindling my love for the biggest band of the 70s and wondering if anyone else occasionally takes their chances on a big jet plane and heads to evermore?

I take that ride all the time. In my opinion pound for pound maybe the greatest band in rock history. Every album was great, and there wasn't much, if any, filler on those albums. Led Zep 4 and Physical Graffiti are both in my top 10 albums of all time. U2 are my favourite band ever, but I think Zep are the greatest band ever. They were only around 12 years and never slipped into a weaker album period.

My top 10 Zep songs

1) Ten Years Gone
2) Stairway to Heaven (Song Remains the Same live version)
3) Over the Hills and Far Away
4) When the Levee Breaks
5) Rock n Roll
6) Down By the Seaside
7) Kashmir
8) I'm Gonna Crawl
9) Trampled Underfoot
10) Bring it On Home

So Cruel, glad to hear I'm not alone. I've been rediscovering a few lately .... rain song.... the epic (overused word but applies here) live celebration day version of Kashmir with Jason on drums..... Going to California...of course any U2 fan, especially one with the username "So Cruel" is required to like trampled underfoot  ;D

Zep also have probably the best production of any band ever. Everything sounds right. Even a band as great as U2 has some horribly produced songs.

I'm not much of a classic rock fan, but Led Zeppelin is undoubtably a legendary act. This band showcases one of the rare instances where every group-member grew to master their respective instrument.

I really like "Over the Hills", "The Immigrant Song", and "Kashmir".  I will concede that Plant probably has the best voice in rock and roll.

When the Levee Breaks is the number #1 of my myself and brother in law.  So thick and muddy.  Raw power.  LZ is my 2nd favorite band.  Houses of the Holy is my favorite album.  I have a newfound appreciation for III as well

Codeguy. Have you heard Greta Van Fleet?  I would immediately purchase their 4-song EP. These kids are saving Rock n Roll.  I saw them in a 300 person venue 2 weeks after hearing them for the first time, just to say I saw them before I had to pay $100 a ticket.

Codeguy.  I like where your head is at in all you postings.  I love this new forum!!!

This is Highway Tune.

Big zep fan here! I keep hoping the band will get together to do one last tour but this seems unlikely. Definitely the band of the 70s though.

I love Rock N' Roll...so I booked a room at the heartbreak hotel and there, the music plays on and on.

Saw Jason Bonham "Led Zeppelin Experience" in May 2016. It was an epic show. They actually played The Lemon Song, that was cool.

Top songs for me are:
1. Dazed and Confused
2. The Lemon Song
3. In My Time of Dying
4. When the Levee Breaks
5. For Your Life
6. The Rover
7. How Many More Times
8. The Rain Song
9. Sick Again
10. Royal Orleans

Cool! I saw Jason Bonham playing with Sammy Hagar down in Cabo San Lucas a few years ago.
