You're Irish, right?  Do you live abroad now?

Can I be one of your hunnies?

So many people died last year: the accidental overdose, the car wreck in East Hampton, the surprise illness. People just disappeared. I fall asleep to the music coming from the Abbey, a song from the past, “Hungry Like the Wolf,” rising faintly above the leaping chatter of the club, transporting me for one long moment into someone both young and old.

Sadness: it’s everywhere.

It's been a brutal few years for sure,  i get mental every anniversary of my father,  i cannot help it....just happens.

Anyway,  your taste in music is close to mine,  much like your taste in cars.  I have to wonder if you are a snappy dresser as well.   8)

As it happens, I don't know where it is. Cork is a large county. That house must be one of the most opulent in the country. Flatley must be minted if he can afford to take that much of a bath on a property and have no financial worries. Who knew Irish dancing could make you rich! Flatley was quite ill a few years' ago with a mystery infection. Fortunately he seems to have fully recovered.

When I was at primary school, Irish dancing was considered the most uncool thing ever. Our teacher in second class (the equivalent of second grade in the US) had us put in a play with Irish dancing in it and the watching parents burst out laughing! Flatley made it cool, with Riverdance.

It is indeed opulent.  Makes me wonder too whey he would want to sell it for such a loss.  It's funny that people only seem to find it on helicopter rides,  must be somewhat obscure.

Where do you live actually?

Are you genuinely asking me? I live in a posh area of Dublin, and I am going into rehab tomorrow.  I have been referred to some good people by some good other people, suffice to say.

Indeed.  FG we're all looking forward to having your wisdom, wit,  and sense of style back around these parts as soon as possible.
Be well my friend.

Change in schedule, not going in until Thursday.

For what it's worth, I live in Leopardstown, which is largely known for its racecourse:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopardstown

The writer Samuel Beckett grew up in the locality, as did  apparently, the Hollywood actress Kathleen Ryan, though I can't say I'm familiar with any of her movies off the top of my head. Also in the area is the residence of the British ambassador. One of his predecessors was assassinated by the IRA, back in the 1970s, Codeguy would probably remember it.

Good luck.

Leopardstown? Ah, for some reason I thought you lived in London. In any case, good luck in rehab, it does take courage to deal with shit. Go neiri An bothar leat!
