Effective non-album track.  Elegant, especially when you picture a sad Natalie Portman in the movie "Brothers" of which the song was on the soundtrack.  Should have made NLOTH.

6. Haven't paid it much mind and just listened to it for the third time according to iTunes. It's a solid song.

Criminal that it was excluded from No Line. The strings are unnecessary, but this song is otherwise great. Modest lyricism.

An eight.  One of the better post-Pop songs.  The string arrangement at the beginning of the song and the male voice choir at the end elevate the song.

6. It's good but missing something that would make it special. Definitely better then other songs that made No Line.

This is why Pop is so good, they didn't have a chance to bring in 3 other producers to bland it out.

Otherwise it would not have been anywhere near as good as it was, as evidenced by the remixes on the Best of album where they polished them off with a veneer of ATYCLB-style blandness.

I didn't buy those best of's but i heard the Pop songs from it and they really do come across as pale imitations of the original versions.

The original version I rate an absolute 10! It's a masterpiece, with sonic landscapes reminiscent of their late 80's stuff, great lyrics and a brilliant outro.

The acoustic version from band of brothers is totally meh. I'd rate it a 5.
