Cool concept. Cool song.  Unique vocals dropping into the chorus.  Song construction is a bit choppy.

9. One of the best modern U2 songs. Great vocals. Powerful song about a terrible time. Especially powerful live.

I think it’s terrible. One of the worst mixed tracks on SOI.

It's not terrible, it is not great - it at least steps away from MOR pop rock, something the band are often mired in - so for that alone it gets a 6.

I'm going to go with 7 here.

I hate the breathing sounds. They keep the song from being a repeater for me.

It sounds oddly... glossy... which should not be my first thought on a song about The Troubles. If RBW could lose the polish and ditch the piano then it would be one of the band's best in a long time.

I love the energy of this track, especially those staccato guitar bursts from The Edge. It's definitely a highlight on the record and it was quite good live too!

10/10.  I love this song.  It sounded better live IMO which why I rated it so high.  It was brought to life during the I&E tour.

I come and go with this one. Loved it at first, then didn't, then did ... then sort of waning right now. Thematically it's the kind of song I like best. Like the chugging beat. Still, gave it a 7.

One of the few songs I enjoy off of SOI. It's more polished than I'd like it to be, but I appreciate the musical departure and lyric.

The chorus rankled the first time I heard it. Then it made sense - raises the hackles. I think it's a very strong song.

I think one if my problems is that I have a rather romantic vision of wolves. Took me awhile to appreciate how that metaphor was being used here. :)
