Prince was in the elevator at Paisley Park when it tried to break down, so he went crazy and punched to a higher floor.

He actually did succumb in an elevator, which gives those lyrics sort of an eerie, prophetic vibe.

Like when Bono eerily presaged the 9/11 attacks with the "September... streets capsizing...
spilling over down the drain...shards of glass splinters like rain" lyric.

Does anyone remember the Prince 'Sexy MF' video from the early 1990s, featuring the canary yellow BMW 850i?

I bought the VHS video.  It featured Troy Beyer.

"2 all U sexy mother****ers, keep on shakin' that ass!"

I thought it was hilarious that TOTP bleeped out the words even though at that time in Ireland, you could listen to the song on pirate radio or buy an uncensored copy of the single in yer local record store (back when such pre-historic inventions as record stores existed, of course).

I also have an intriguing story about the canary yellow BMW 850i from the video, but will save that one for later.

They bleeped it when I heard it at Tesco.  Sexy MF is a good 'live' studio recording in which I learned what 'scrub the dishes' means.

I wish the estate garbage would get sorted out.
After he died YouTube was flooded with some spectacular live footage as well as regular videos. Now much of that has been taken down. Even some of the "official" videos are no longer available.

You want your music for free, is it?
