I'm another who finds this song a little too strident and overblown.  I like the October version better than the Bono yelling-all-over-it UABRS recording.  Overall I have always preferred the more pensive and doubt-ridden material on October.  I give it a 6.

Hearing this and "I Will Follow" on the radio back in the early '80's was like the proverbial jolt of electricity. Rock music came to life again.
